Maximising NI Food & Drink Experiences sales opportunities this Christmas

This webinar is being delivered as part of Tourism NI’s new Tourism Enterprise Development (TED) Programme 2020-21. The NI TED Programme has been designed to help the tourism industry in Northern Ireland survive and recover from the unprecedented events of 2020.

Covid-19 has changed our behaviors and purchasing habits. Consumers have altered their shopping rituals and there is a definite sense of optimism that people will continue to support their local communities and businesses in the run up to the festive period. This shift has motivated businesses to review how they communicate with consumers to boost conversions and sales.

This webinar was designed to explore the opportunities around the growing trend of gifting experiences and the demand for high quality food and drink. Hear from our panel of industry experts on what innovative approaches you can take to attract new customers to maximise your opportunities this festive season.

During this two hour webinar, participants heard what approaches businesses are taking to seize new opportunities around the gifting of vouchers and experiences, premium food and drink hampers and subscription models.

The webinar panel included:

  • Gary Quate - Food and Drink Experience Development Officer, Tourism NI
  • Barbara Collins - Food writer, Broadcaster, Journalist, Agri-food Consultant and Ecommerce expert
  • Sharon Scott - Taste Causeway Network
  • Down the Hatch NI - NI Food Bloggers

This session was delivered as part of Tourism NI’s ongoing Tourism Enterprise Development (TED) Programme and was open to all those working within the NI food & drink and hospitality sectors.
