Current Restrictions for Hospitality and Accommodation
Can Hotels open for business?
Hotels, Guest Houses and Bed and Breakfast establishments will only be able to operate on a restricted basis.
Accommodation can be provided for those already a resident; for work-related purposes; for vulnerable people; for those in emergency situations; and people unable to return to their main address.
Can bars and restaurants in hotels remain open for permitted residents?
Restaurants within a hotel can open to residents only and the bar must remain closed.
Can outdoor areas of hospitality venues be used to consume takeaway food?
No, the entire venue must remain closed.
Can non-residents access fitness suites and spas in hotels?
Hotel gyms may remain open for individual training. Spas are not permitted to open.
Are weddings permitted to go ahead over the restricted period?
From Monday 19 October 2020, marriages and civil partnerships ceremonies are limited to 25 people. This number includes children under 12 and the celebrant.
Can wedding receptions take place?
Receptions or post ceremony gatherings are not permitted.
Can I stay in Self-Catering accommodation?
Self-Catering and rented accommodation can remain open, however only members of one household or bubble are permitted to stay together to a maximum of 10 persons including children.
Can I stay in my static caravan
Access to static caravans remains open but campsites and services for touring caravans to close.
Are B&Bs, Guest Houses and Hostels able to open?
B&Bs are closed to public with exceptions same as Hotels. Accommodation can be provided for those already resident; for work-related purposes; for vulnerable people; for those in emergency situations; and people unable to return to their main address.
Can Guest Accommodation continue to operate with annex rooms-continental breakfast is supplied to door?
This is permitted if social distancing is maintained.
